Tom Dobs is an expert for the reliability of electronic systems at Fraunhofer IZM. In the video, he introduces different methods for testing and optimizing products concerning their reliability. Vibration measurement and test with electronic components, if required in combination with humidity and temperature stressing, contactless vibration measurements and many more experiments can be realized at the Institute. RealIZM was allowed to have a glance inside the wonderful world of testing.

Tom Dobs

Tom Dobs studied electrical engineering and information and communication technology at HTW Berlin. From 2017 to 2021, he worked as a research assistant at TU Berlin and Fraunhofer IZM, where he worked on projects focusing on the system reliability of electronics. Since 2021, he has been working as an R&D engineer and project manager at Siemens Foundational Technologies, dealing with digitalization issues in electronics manufacturing and data-based condition monitoring of electronic systems.
